Alessandro Ridvan Moretti was born on June 30, 1987 in a small town in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
At just six years old he began studying folk dances from Romagna and began competing at a competitive level, winning countless competitions including six Italian Championships, twelve Regional Championships, International Championships and even the “Trofeo Assoluto” in San Marino in 2004. He was therefore awarded the “DANCER D’ORO”, a much-infamous and sought-after recognition in the world of dance.
In the meantime he also studied Caribbean Dances, Latin American Dances, Argentine Tango, Hip Hop, becoming a recognized Dance Master MIDAS, FIDS and AICS, graduating in 2009 and 2010 respectively in Chieti and Rimini.
He will then become a Judge of Folk Dance competitions in the same year 2010.
The knowledge and the encounter with Pizzica will mark a great turning point for Alessandro.
He will frequent some of the main exponents and dancers in the Pizzica field, through internships, personal studies and direct acquaintances, through study trips in Salento and dance will take on a completely different aspect for him, much deeper, no longer only on a technical level, but above all on a level of pure expression of feelings and soul.
With Pizzica Salentina he will fly, for the first time, to Russia in 2016, bringing the Salento tradition to the Cossack land. International champion at the folk dance competitions of Veliky Novgorod, Tula, Modena, Pesaro, Porto San Giorgio. In the following years he will also win the “PREMIO AWARD” as best international choreographer, directing more than 250 dancers in the same choreography.
Author of the first internationally recognized manual on Pizzica Salentina entitled “MY PIZZICA MANUAL”.
